Best Practices: Public Health Program Evaluation Webinar: Session #3

About this Event:

This 90-minute webinar will review public health program evaluation and illustrate how to develop and implement a comprehensive evaluation plan. Topics will include process and outcome evaluation, quantitative and qualitative methods and tools, evaluation planning, and understanding logic models. This is the first in a series of three APP webinars on evaluation.

After participating in the webinar, you will be able to:

  1. List the different types of program evaluation.
  2. Describe available methodologies for collecting program evaluation data.
  3. Identify the steps to develop an evaluation plan.
  4. Define what a logic model is and understand how to create one.

About the Presenters:

The webinar will be presented by Alexandra Kamler and Lindsey Realmuto from the Center for Evaluation and Applied Research (CEAR) at the Academy. Alexandra Kamler, Research Associate and Departmental Coordinator, works on research and evaluation of projects focused on chronic disease prevention, healthy housing, mental health, public deliberation, and food access. As Senior Project Director, Lindsey Realmuto, MPH, has worked on research and evaluation focused on diabetes prevention, environmental approaches to asthma control in children, health impacts of affordable housing, community engagement for hospital decision-making, and community resilience and recovery. The webinar will be moderated by Diane Kolack of The New York Academy of Medicine.
